Does it work with my computer (Mac/Windows/Linux)?
Yes! The KLAWOS macropad is a "plug-and-play" HID device. It works natively across Windows, macOS, and Linux without needing to install any specific drivers to function as a keyboard.
Do I need to know how to code to program the keys?
Do I need to know how to code to program the keys?
Not at all. We’ve pre-flashed every unit with Vial. This means you just open a web browser (or the Vial desktop app), and you can drag and drop your shortcuts onto any key in real-time. No "flashing" or coding knowledge required.
What exactly is a "Layer"?
What exactly is a "Layer"?
Think of a layer like a different "mode" for your macropad. You can have one layer for Photoshop, one for Premiere Pro, and one for basic Chrome browsing. With 6 layers available, your 16 keys effectively become 96 different shortcuts.
Is the KLAWOS "Hot-Swappable"?
Is the KLAWOS "Hot-Swappable"?
Yes! We use high-quality hot-swap sockets. If you ever want to change the "feel" or "sound" of your macropad, you can pull the switches out and snap in new ones (any MX-style switch) without ever touching a soldering iron.
What can I do with the Rotary Encoder (the knob)?
What can I do with the Rotary Encoder (the knob)?
Almost anything! Most users use it for volume control or scrolling, but you can program it to zoom in/out, adjust brush sizes in Photoshop, scrub through video timelines, or even switch between browser tabs. It also clicks down like a regular button!
Is the USB-C cable included?
Is the USB-C cable included?
To reduce electronic waste, we don’t include a generic cable in the box, as most creators already have high-quality USB-C cables. However, we recommend using any standard USB-C to USB-A (or USB-C) data cable.
